Had she been in Kolkata, relatives and friends would have dropped by. She opened the wedding album and the doorbell rang, must be Deepak. She opened and heard voices screaming joyously “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY”.
All her new friends here were there with a huge bouquet. Deepak was standing behind them grinning.
Just when she thought she had made a mistake…

I actually clapped. I’m such a goof when it comes to happy endings. This is perfect, Balaka, just perfect. We experience her melancholy and then delight in her happiness.

Dear Balaka,
Such a sweet story. You took me from homesick to joyful in a hundred words. Well done.

Sorry for being a cynic… but with so much technology and communication, sometimes I crave isolation.. are you really lonely anywhere where there is good WiFi?
