The superstition for myna was:
“One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret,
Never to be told.
Eight for a wish,
Nine for a kiss,
Ten for a bird,
You must not miss.”
My brother deliberately held one mynah in his hand in the morning to ruin my day. I furiously chased him but the squeaking of the little bird melted my heart. I stopped and took the small bird in my palms and named it Happy.
A very sweet story, Balaka.
Beautiful!

Haha! This brought back many fond memories. 😂 When we were younger, my brother loved to point out a single myna to me!

Brothers! 😂😂😂😂
My bro and I used to chase each other trying to catch the other so that we could “pass” on the bad luck. Ah, sweet childhood memories. 😂

Dear Balaka,
I’m sure the bird was happier in her hands than his. 😉 Sweet story.
