Wedding Venue

“How many times have I told you not to bring me to your friend Soumitra’s exhibitions? I don’t understand a thing about modern art” Trina said angrily.

“Neither do I” Himu chuckled.

“Why did we come then?” her voice still angry

“I have an idea to convert this to our wedding venue. There are tables, seats and the centre can be the dance floor” Himu said with an impish grin.

Trina almost burst into laughter.

Soumitra overheard this from behind. This is the worst joke anyone ever made of his creation. He never expected this from his best friend Himu.

Thank you Moon…. The bride can also wear a white benarasi… I had a friend who wore a white dhakai for her wedding and I so loved it… Btw did you read Varad’s guest post?? Please read, you will love it.

I imagine her parents are less orthodox. I admire that she didn’t succumb to superstitions.
I will read Varad’s story right away. Thanks for telling me.🙂

I love that you saw a wedding venue in the prompt. Soumitra seems to take his art, and himself, a little too seriously perhaps. As Keith rightly says, the wedding will bring him commissions. It will certainly bring him appreciation from the guests.
