January Gratitude List

January proved to be an eccentrically hectic yet amazing month. So many things happened in the span of last 29 days that I am honestly overwhelmed. This was the anniversary month of my blog and I am grateful and indebted to all the fellow bloggers who took out time from their busy schedules and wrote Guest Posts for me. I take this opportunity to thank each one of them. Thank you Veena Rao, Varad, Natasha, Moon, Jatin Adlakha, Vishal Bheeroo, Maniparna, Anamika, Akshata and Esha. I never imagined that so many of you would honour me with such lovely posts. I enjoyed each and every post and so did my readers. THANK YOU!! I feel humbled that I crossed 350 followers (352 followers to be precise) in 365 days. I thank each one of you for reading, liking, commenting, sharing and following my posts. You inspire and encourage me and motivate me to write more.

Apart from blogging, I was busy travelling in January. First I went to Goa and then went on a road trip to Gujarat. We drove close to 3000 km in 4 days which is a record in itself for us. I would be writing about them soon for #WanderfulWednesday.

This month I also celebrated Saraswati Puja at my home for the second consecutive year. It felt great to re-live my childhood days through this puja. Saraswati Puja is often referred to as the Valentine’s Day of Bengalis. This is the day when young adults dress in their best outfits and go out. The girls usually wear yellow saree and look like miniature goddesses. This is the day when timid admirers often gather the courage to confess their love. Many new stories are formed however many hearts are broken also. Most Bongs have ‘naughty’ memories of this day from their adolescent days. 😉  😉

In January I was able to read quite a few books. I signed up for Goodreads reading challenge and in the first month itself I completed reading 2 books and the third one is WIP. It felt immensely good to read them. It is said that what we give to the Universe the Universe gives us back. This month I received a book from a fellow blogger Shalini and my niece gave me 20 books as she is moving for higher studies and wouldn’t be able to carry all those books. Isn’t this the best news for a bibliophile like me?

I am participating in the January 2018 Gratitude Circle blog hop, at Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles.

Isn’t it nice to be busy? I wish we could have met in January but I think it is obviously not possible now. Perhaps in April after the schools break up for the holidays? Wishing you an equally fulfilling February

Goa, Gujarat…ye ho gaya 2G 😀 On a serious note, how are you doing it? First you went to Europe, then Bhutan and if I am not missing any place in between then now Goa and Gujarat. So much of travelling and Road trips need a lot of stamina. So you are doing great.
Should I thank you that you shattered my knowledge of Saraswati Puja since I had been thinking that pen and books are worshipped on this day for Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge. And, you tell us it is a sort of Valentine’s day. This was an interesting finding for me. 352 followers in 365 days – roughly one follower for each day. Congratulations 🙂

You missed Kolkata and Delhi😂😂😂…Don’t ask me Anamika…Me and my better half are nomads…we often plan to sell everything and buy a Caravan…yeh school office etc nahi hota to ab tak Nikal Gaye hote😂😂😂 On a serious note traveling does leave me exhausted at times… Saraswati Puja is definitely worshipping the goddess but that day most romantic coupling happens in Bengal… Thanks for this lovely comment and for reading my blog…and once again a biiiiig thank you for the guest post😘😘
