When My House Flooded #writebravely #WTFOW2018

June 30, 2018June 28, 201845 Comments

I was newly married and living abroad. One morning, I got a frantic call from my dad’s part-time maid. She said “Didi, there have been heavy rains and our neighbourhood flooded. Your dad has got a high fever. He is unable to get up from the bed and the whole house is filled with drain-water.” … Continue reading When My House Flooded #writebravely #WTFOW2018

Dear Bong Mom, As you are also a blogger you would know how tedious blogging challenges are. "Hello," said the voice on the phone. "My name is RaGa. I know you never expected a call from me, as famous as I am, but I've been given your name as someone who can help me in writing my speeches." It took me few seconds to understand who the caller was. For a moment, … Continue reading A Phone Call from RG #WTFOW2018

My dad’s grandmother’s sister was a child widow. She got married when she was seven years old and became a widow at nine. She absolutely had no memory of her married life. She didn’t even have a photo of her husband. All her life she stayed as a leftover member of the family. Her brother’s … Continue reading Beyond Last Wish #WTFOW2018

When He Smiled #WTFOW2018

June 26, 2018June 24, 201839 Comments

“Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.” Ruku uttered these words with a hint of arrogance and smugness in his voice. His cycle was punctured and we were standing in a deserted field. I was standing there shaking in fear, imagining all kinds of bad things that … Continue reading When He Smiled #WTFOW2018

The regular readers of my blog already know about Sikku. She was my mom’s foster daughter. My mom loved her more than she loved me. Took me 1.5 months to finish this book. I would recommend this book to whoever wants to find some peace and joyfulness in life. Two of the most spiritual and humanitarian holy leader share their insights on how we can find joy in the mundane. How we can get rid of anger and learn to forgive. If you want to heal your soul read this book for some calmness.
Ever since the pandemic hit, we had stopped going out for #girlsnightout. However, now that one of our friends is shifting, we decided to go out. It was midweek, yet Wednesday felt like Friday.
When Wednesday feels like Friday
Happiness is in simple things. Sometimes, just a simple cup of tea, early in the morning is enough to make your day.
