“Tomorrow’s harvest depends upon today’s ploughing and sowing“— Chinmayananda Saraswati
We came across this farmer ploughing his field on our way to Bhimashankar. My son being a city born had never seen anything like this before. He was amused and surprised to learn that so much effort and hard work goes behind growing the grains that he nonchalantly and guiltlessly wastes. I hope now onwards he would appreciate the food on his plate more. No wonder a child learns the most through traveling.

Most city kids are disconnected from rural life. Good you showed your son a bit of rural life.

Agree, Tina, travel can prove to be the best teacher ever! I’m so glad Srot got a chance to see this and I hope it made the discussion around how food reaches the table a little more interesting! I think we should take our kids out to see the real world a little more often than we do. They certainly “see” things in a new light when they leave the confines of the four walls.
Thanks for joining us this week for our weekly bloghop, Tina. Wishing you a lovely relaxed weekend. Catch up soon. š

That’s a very thought provocative post. Hope he has learnt to waste food a little less or better yet, not waste food at all. Hope you and your family had great fun! ā„ļøš
