Happy Birthday to me #MondayMusings

August 5, 2019August 4, 201924 Comments

Happy birthday to me. Oh yes!! Today is my birthday. Readers, you can take this 'August' opportunity to wish me, I would be flattered. However, at home, I have firmly asked the husband and the kid not to do anything for my birthday. No celebrations, no wishes, no gifts, no dining out, no cakes, no … Continue reading Happy Birthday to me #MondayMusings

My 20 Day Challenge

September 11, 2018September 11, 201824 Comments

I have become very irregular with blogging these days because I am going through a lazy phase. I wouldn’t call this ‘writer’s block’ because there is no dearth of ideas. I even managed to write a few posts however never posted them. Therefore, I have decided that I will post something daily on the remaining … Continue reading My 20 Day Challenge

How Bollywood Ruined Us

August 13, 2018August 13, 201839 Comments

The other day I sat down to watch ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. After precisely five minutes into the movie, I realized the movie is simply unwatchable. It appeared gross, grotesque and as Bongs would put ‘churanto nyaka’. However, ironically this is the same movie that ignited passion and romance in me 28 years back when I … Continue reading How Bollywood Ruined Us

A Phone Call from RG #WTFOW2018

June 28, 2018June 25, 201868 Comments

"Hello," said the voice on the phone. "My name is RaGa. I know you never expected a call from me, as famous as I am, but I've been given your name as someone who can help me in writing my speeches." It took me few seconds to understand who the caller was. For a moment, … Continue reading A Phone Call from RG #WTFOW2018

What a Day? Valentine’s Day

February 15, 2018February 12, 201824 Comments

My better half is the kind of person who remembers to forget things. If he goes to the market with a grocery list containing 12 items then conveniently he would buy only the first four happily omitting the remaining eight. Even the first four would have a warped destiny. For example, if his grocery list … Continue reading What a Day? Valentine’s Day

5 Dialogues I Have Heard Time and Again (Guest Post)

As part of my blog's first anniversary I am hosting a 'blog party'. Today my guest is Anamika Agnihotri. She is a mother of a 6 year old son. She is an observer, an optimist, an introvert, a spiritual seeker and an eternal learner. She considers herself as a silent crusader against gender bias and gender … Continue reading 5 Dialogues I Have Heard Time and Again (Guest Post)

Mr. Problem Solver

December 14, 2017December 14, 201730 Comments

“Mom, I need a globe tomorrow for my geography project” Pablo said nonchalantly. Trina jumped out of the bed in panic and almost screamed “What do you mean? It is 11.30 pm. All the shops are shut and your school bus comes at 6.30 am. Where will I get a globe now?” “Idiot, couldn’t you … Continue reading Mr. Problem Solver

This is my debut post for #MondayMusings. Make it as personal as possible. Use the hashtag #MondayMusings. Add your link to … Continue reading 3 Gone Girls in Goa

Took me 1.5 months to finish this book. I would recommend this book to whoever wants to find some peace and joyfulness in life. Two of the most spiritual and humanitarian holy leader share their insights on how we can find joy in the mundane. How we can get rid of anger and learn to forgive. If you want to heal your soul read this book for some calmness.
Ever since the pandemic hit, we had stopped going out for #girlsnightout. However, now that one of our friends is shifting, we decided to go out. It was midweek, yet Wednesday felt like Friday.
When Wednesday feels like Friday
Happiness is in simple things. Sometimes, just a simple cup of tea, early in the morning is enough to make your day.
