10 Things that I have Stopped Doing

June 22, 20218 Comments

When I was a young girl, I used to do things differently. I was timid, judgmental, self-conscious, and above all suffered from low self-esteem. These characteristics affected the way how I used to deal with things. However, thankfully with age comes wisdom and we realize all the mistakes that we did. If I get an … Continue reading 10 Things that I have Stopped Doing

The Facade of a ‘Nice Guy’#MondayMusings

September 2, 201920 Comments

Let’s talk about boys today... I know I am a middle-aged Aunty and shouldn’t be talking about boys, but the other day few of us friends gathered for coffee and after our usual discussion of homework of kids, irritating habits of spouses, latest antics of moms-in-law, illogical bosses, latest shopping mall discounts, grocery prices etc … Continue reading The Facade of a ‘Nice Guy’#MondayMusings

I wake up in the wee hours of the day, go to the kitchen and start preparing breakfast for the son. Then I wake him up. I utter a few words in isolation, but not full sentences. The Lost Joy of Letter Writing #MondayMusings

July 15, 2019July 11, 201925 Comments

I loved old-fashioned letters written with a pen on paper, I loved the texture of the paper, the postage stamp, the envelope with the address of a street or lane from an unknown city, the handwriting of the sender, the fragrance, the stamps of post offices, everything. But, Alas!! Nobody writes such a letter these … Continue reading The Lost Joy of Letter Writing #MondayMusings

Six months into 2019 and I got my muse back, today. Six months ago my muse left me in a lurch. Actually, I was so self-obsessed and confident that I presumed I would do absolutely fine without the muse. However, after my muse left, I found myself in the middle of a creative desert. My ideas … Continue reading Six Months into 2019 and I Found My Muse Back #ZombieBlogHop

How Bengali helped me in Europe

January 28, 2019January 28, 201914 Comments

Ahead of my Europe trip, I downloaded a language learning app called Duolingo and started learning Italian and French. In Europe, I observed from my previous trips that it becomes extremely difficult without knowing the local dialect, I was especially worried about France because the French are well known for their aversion to speaking English. … Continue reading How Bengali helped me in Europe

Took me 1.5 months to finish this book. I would recommend this book to whoever wants to find some peace and joyfulness in life. Two of the most spiritual and humanitarian holy leader share their insights on how we can find joy in the mundane. How we can get rid of anger and learn to forgive. If you want to heal your soul read this book for some calmness.
Ever since the pandemic hit, we had stopped going out for #girlsnightout. However, now that one of our friends is shifting, we decided to go out. It was midweek, yet Wednesday felt like Friday.
When Wednesday feels like Friday
