July 17, 201921 Comments

Have you ever been on a road trip where your car broke down in the middle of a jungle (that had leopards)? "Tomorrow's harvest depends upon today's ploughing and sowing"--- Chinmayananda Saraswati We came across this farmer ploughing his field on our way to Bhimashankar. My son being a city born had never seen anything like this before. He was amused and surprised to learn that so much effort and hard work goes behind growing the grains … Continue reading Plough #WordlessWednesday

I have not written a travel post in ages. I started blogging as a travel blogger and gradually I started writing about everything else but travel. Old and New Memories of Gangtok #WanderfulWednesday

June 20, 2018June 22, 201848 Comments

When my Dad joined Ministry of Home Affairs, his first posting was in Gangtok. It was the late 1960s and Sikkim was then not a part of India. The day my Dad set foot in Gangtok, he fell in love with the beauty of the place. In those days he was on deputation and had … Continue reading Old and New Memories of Gangtok #WanderfulWednesday

Darjeeling #WanderfulWednesday

June 13, 201822 Comments

When my son was a toddler, he used to be extremely hyperactive, leaving me exhausted. Managing household chores became difficult therefore I kept a cook. One day my husband said with disdain in his voice “you should cook something for him or else your son will never remember what is mom’s cooking.” Perhaps husband was … Continue reading Darjeeling #WanderfulWednesday

Took me 1.5 months to finish this book. I would recommend this book to whoever wants to find some peace and joyfulness in life. Two of the most spiritual and humanitarian holy leader share their insights on how we can find joy in the mundane. How we can get rid of anger and learn to forgive. If you want to heal your soul read this book for some calmness.
Ever since the pandemic hit, we had stopped going out for #girlsnightout. However, now that one of our friends is shifting, we decided to go out. It was midweek, yet Wednesday felt like Friday.
When Wednesday feels like Friday
Happiness is in simple things. Sometimes, just a simple cup of tea, early in the morning is enough to make your day.
